Falling Star Opening the Bottomless Pit

The work is a symbolic modern interpretation inspired by a part of the Revelations in the Bible. This work is part one of two works inspired by a particular part. Part one; The star falling from the sky opening the bottomless pit. Part two; The bottomless pit has been opened and the smoke coming from it is blacking out the air and sun.

Revelation 9.1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. (King James Version)
