🔳 AS: Your background includes a Master of Science degree in Architecture. How does your architectural education influence your artistic process and the themes you explore in your artwork?

✍️🏼 RG: “I guess my architectural education plays a role in the way I approach my process of art making, working with a story board, getting an idea for a painting, turning that into a drawing. In architecture there is also something very powerful about the initial sketch of an idea, sometimes the whole project is already embedded in that simple first sketch. And in my experience the first study sketches for a new work are usually the best in terms of the accuracy of the core of the idea….”
